Co-Creation Lab sessions

Our Sandbox co-creation labs provide a structured environment for stakeholders to collaboratively design and frame responsible sandbox models. In these labs, teams work to identify high-impact sandbox cases and:

  • Define challenges and partners: Articulate specific issues, select aligned regulators, and identify the data challenge or thematic area.
  • Set strategy and goals: Establish shared strategic objectives (e.g., regulatory clarity, innovation, public benefit) and define measurable targets and timelines.
  • Identify stakeholders and engagement: Determine core, active, and supporting stakeholders (regulators, data holders, innovators, civil society, academia) and define their responsibilities.
  • Agree on format, duration, and funding: Decide on the sandbox’s structure (regulatory, operational, or hybrid), its timeline, budget, and coordination processes.
  • Address issues, asymmetry, and risks: Map out potential risks (to users, data, markets), establish mitigation measures, set governance structures, and tackle information disparities.

Prepare evaluation criteria: Define qualitative and quantitative metrics to assess outcomes (e.g., regulatory implementability, innovation impact, policy learning) for iterative improvement.

Disclaimer: Results depend on the duration of the co creation lab.
